Treadmill Mixes

I don’t normally run with music…I like to be in touch and feel connected to my surroundings however with the icy, snowy and crazy cold temps of a northeast winter (and the crazy humid and hot summers) my asthmatic (currently formally? can you be former asthmatic? ) self sometimes must  run on the treadmill. When I don’t have outdoor surroundings to look at I am in need of entertainment, I’d watch TV but nothing worthwhile is during the 7am hour and I watch mostly everything with my wife (minus The Walking Dead… she hates it… boo) anyway I’ve been turning to music and though I’d share my 2, new-ish, go to treadmill mixes. With that said my taste in music is very varied, I like a lot of random artists, genres and beats. I don’t normally listen to music while driving, so I’m not up to date on the latest hip songs but these rando’s get me (and keep me going) Please feel free to laugh at my selection, I know I’ve got some maybe embarrassing picksmix tape treadmill playlist

    I have gotten out of the habit of running with music. I know right, how could I do that, but actually I where I was running for a while I needed all ears and well I just got out of the habit. This looks like a great list! Maybe I'll pick it back up! ;) | 2 years ago Reply

    I pretty much always run with music. And I love the list of oldies but goodies on your list. My playlist has a lot of oldies as well.

    I do all my outdoor runs with music unless I'm running with friends. I generally run on the track or some paved trails around here so don't have to worry about traffic. I do keep the volume low enough that I can hear whether other runners or bicyclists are coming up behind me. As far as the treadmill, I've been watching things on netflix to keep that interesting. But I have been picking things that my husband has no interest in watching. I'm currently watching Alias on there since I never saw it back when it was on tv.

    I can take or leave music when I run outside. I usually watch TV (food network) when I'm on the mill, but a few weeks ago we had to move the cable box from the pain cave to another TV so there's no TV watching from the mill. I've been using my tunes and it's been going way better than expected. Til I Collapse is one of my all time faves.

    I go back and forth on running with music. Sometimes I'll listen to a podcast or audiobook to pass the time when music starts to feel all the same.

    I actually love to listen to podcasts when I workout! I feel like I'm working out my body and my mind! Though your playlist looks like it would pump up any workout, too!!

    Eye of the Tiger is my go-to motivational song (other than Don't Stop Believing)! :D I don't usually listen to music when I'm working out unless it's dance, but it's mostly just because I don't have music on my phone. x_x

    I love running with music, and I run with all kinds. Yesterday I listened to music soundtracks from movies, so all the orchestral arrangement. I used to hate that but I love it now.
