Holiday Plan

The holidays, from Thanksgiving Eve until a few days after New Years, can be hectic, stressful and filled with many opportunities and excuses to eat poorly and skip workouts. With a nearly a month left I’ve formulated a plan to keep me on track.

#1 – The Runners World Holiday Running Streak (#RWRunStreak) 13 days in and I am still motivated and looking forward to running daily.

#2- For Motivation-Meatless-Manic Monday I am starting an eat cleaner two-week challenge. Less sugar, less refined carbs, and more plant based whole foods (like  fruits, vegetables, beans and legumes)

#3- I can not guarantee I’ll be able to avoid all holiday cookies and running daily isn’t enough so I’m doing 7-12 minute daily Project Get Ripped  strength training workouts. Project Get Ripped is my winter attempt to gain strength, muscles and improve endurance using HIIT and cross fit style workouts.

What are you doing (or trying to do) to stay health, fit and on track during this holiday season?

Nice job and great goals. I'm just trying to get back from injury personally so keep on keeping on LOL!

I am also just getting back from an injury, but I am enjoying every minute of running! I don't think you should worry about avoiding holiday goodies! Because I know that I wont :) I think you should be proud of what you are doing and keep up the good work!
