I am convinced that Mother Nature is conspiring to ruin my training. This current heat and humidity wave  is awful. The heat and humidity  has temps in mid 80’s with 70%+ humidity levels for almost two weeks. The heat it self isn’t that bad it was in the mid to high 90’s, even 100 degrees more than a few times in July and that was HOT but the humidity was low and it didn’t affect me like this has been.

My runs have been alright at best, more like I want to quit and please just let this be over runs. The icky, sticky, hard to breath, please let me sit in front of the AC weather does not mix well with 5, 7 and 9 mile runs. I’ve been feeling awful post run; nauseous, hot for hours and generally uncomfortable.

FALL where are you?

What’s a girl to do? I hate the treadmill, my gym membership expired and I need to run. Do you have any heat and humidity tricks? I know I’m supposed to go early or late, hydrate, try to run in the shade and take a cold shower after.

I'm really no help bc the only way I do it is by going early in the morning! It's my favorite time of day, so I genuinely enjoy it! Best luck finding what works for you! SPALove!

I've heard that some runners have an ice pack underneath their hat. Or, you could try running with a frozen (or very cold) water bottle in your hand?
