I am newly obsessed with Chia pudding.
It tastes amazing and is super duper healthy and satisfying.
What the hell is chia pudding you wonder…?
It is a pudding like creation made from mixing chia seeds with almond (or i guess soy/hemp/cashew) milk.
My latest recipe:
1 1/4 cup of almond milk
1/4 cup chia seeds
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons chocolate hemp protein powder
1 tablespoon agave, raw honey or maple syrup
dash of pink salt
stir and or shake, let sit overnight or for 8 hours and enjoy
great served with sliced bananas, strawberries or even your favorite nut butter!
chia is an awesome little seed, they deliver a massive amount of nutrients with very few calories:
1 ounce (28 grams) serving of chia seeds contains
Fiber: 11 grams.
Protein: 4 grams.(high quality)
Fat: 9 grams (5 of which are Omega-3s).
Calcium: 18% of the RDA. Manganese: 30% of the RDA.
Magnesium: 30% of the RDA.
Phosphorus: 27% of the RDA.
and also a good amount of Zinc, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Potassium, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) and Vitamin B2
also they are loaded with antioxidants and are very high in Omega-3 fatty acids, yay chia!
